After almost seven years of work, the Rotary International Peace Park will be dedicated on Tuesday, June 6th. This five club project began in 1999 as collaborative project to commemorate 100 years of Rotary. The final touch to the park is the peace monument which will be unveiled at this event. The people who worked so hard to bring this park to reality will be recognized for their vision and their hard work on behalf of the five Rotary clubs in Kitchener-Waterloo. Entertainment will be provided by the Bluevale C.I. Choir. If you have never heard these increbible young people before, you will be most impressed with the quality of their musical talent. Their conductor is Nancy Kidd. Students from Elizabeth Ziegler have a special presentation that they will make as part of the celebration. We encourage you to bring your whole family to celebrate this remarkable accomplishment. The event will take place on Tuesday, June 6th from 5 p.m. All Rotary club meetings will be cancelled for the week. There will be hor d'oeuvres and beverages available.
