On February 26th we were joined by Laura Tuohy, Manager of Community Engagement of the Bruce Trail Conservancy. The Bruce Trail is Canada's oldest and longest marked footpath, stretching over 900 kilometers from Niagara to Tobermory along the Niagara Escarpment. With almost 1400km of trails, in a corridor of that is 72% protected totalling 20,460 protected acres, it offers hikers a chance to explore diverse landscapes, including forests, waterfalls, and stunning cliffs. The trail is divided into nine sections, each with its own unique features and challenges.
Managed by the Bruce Trail Conservancy, the trail aims to preserve the natural beauty of the Niagara Escarpment while providing a recreational space for outdoor enthusiasts. It's a popular destination for hiking, birdwatching, and enjoying nature.
