Recently inducted member Pattie O'Reilly gave the club a who-am-I.
Pattie has lived in KW her entire life and has a sister and 2 brothers living locally. Growing up, she attended catholic primary schools followed by St. Mary’s HS and Lougheed Business College. Her first job was in the fabric department at Kresge’s Department Store followed by the Candy Counter (where Pattie learned it was important to stay in school!). Following Kresge’s, was a part time role with Excellsior Insurance after which she entered the banking industry with Scotia. At Scotia, she had many roles including clerical, teller and in the lending area. This experience inspired Pattie take on a sales role in the real estate industry working for builders selling new homes most recently over the past 15 years with Cook Homes.
Pattie has one son and one daughter with a total of five grandchildren (3 boys-including 1 set of twins and 2 girls). Kidsability is close to her heart as one of the twins was a client of Kidsability with mobility issues as a child. This allowed Pattie to see the value of Kidsability first hand as her grandchild no longer is struggling with mobility issues and is able to participate in events such as the Mudpuppy Chase! Her interests include volunteering with World Vision and live theatre (Drayton and Stratford) along with her cottage in Southhampton.
While she hasn’t taken much time to travel in the past she recently, with her extended family, visited the Calgary Stampede to celebrate Canada150 and with time allowed by the wrap up of the Cook Homes development that she was most recently involved is currently planning a 2 week trip to to Italy.
She has enjoyed her Rotary experience so far and is looking forward to the future as part of the club.
Welcome Pattie!
