On July 30, co-President John Scace gave a Who Am I to the club.
John was raised at the headwater of the Grand river in the town of Riverview near Dundalk. Early education was in a one room schoolhouse in a town complete with 2 bridges and a general store. This was the type of small town where everybody knew everybody. Higher education was obtained at WLU (which at the time was still Waterloo Lutheran University) where John had an A- average and earned a degree in business. During his WLU years, John took a specific class which was terrible but had great attendance because of some cute girls in the class. Long story short, that's where he met his wife Joy and they just recently celebrated their 50th anniversary! John's working career was spent mainly in working in industry including the plastics and valve industry and ending with a time served at Kidsability.
John's Rotary experience includes 36 years of service, he has served on the board several times, served as Secretary, President and is currently serving as co-President with Sharon!
