Rotary Receives $70,000 to Complete Peace Park

The Trillium Foundation has awarded the Rotary International Peace Park $70,000. The money will be used for a Peace statue that will be created by a local artist and to complete educational panels in the park that explains Rotary.
A request for proposals will be sent to local artists to design a statue that will be located in the centre of the meeting area at the Rotary International Peace Park. The park will depict peace and the role that Rotary plays in the world in trying to attain the ultimate goal of world understanding and peace.
