Phonexay Secondary School Roof Project
Steve Rutledge of Adopt a Village in Laos that our club supports recently sent this information on where our donation was partly spent.
We managed to rebuild a secondary school roof that was in poor condition due to a termite issue. The school is Phonexay Secondary school and is located over 5.5 hours from Luang Prabang in northern Laos, on very rough roads. With new elections today, I hope the next government will resolve the road issue. This is where the rest of your clubs donation was spent.
This school was chosen due to pending structural failure caused by termites. School ceiling was redone and the building received a new coat of paint. Total cost was just over $24,200 CAD.
