New Member Goals

Your membership committee in conjunction with the board has set a goal of adding ten new members to our club by June of 2007. Jim McIntyre  has been making weekly announcements urging you to consider inviting a potential new member to Breakfast.
 

In order to make this process as simple as possible for the proposer and the potential new member, the committee has developed the following process when someone new is introduced to the club.

 

1)       Bring the prospective member to a breakfast meeting

2)       The proposer should e-mail Len Brunen that a potential new member needs to be contacted

3)       Len will invite the individual to a second breakfast meeting.

4)       If the individual is interested in membership, the proposer and the potential member will fill out a membership proposal form which is available from the RI website or from Fraser. This should be faxed to Fraser (519-747-8089)

5)       Club members will be notified by email of the potential members interest in joining and to determine if there are any concerns.

6)       If there are no concerns, the board will consider the individual for membership.

7)       Once membership has been approved, Tony Maruna and David Moser will discuss the expectations of rotary and consider a good fit for committees with the individual.

8)       The individual will be inducted as a member. (organized by Jon Kinghan ,  Des Gibb and Glenn Stewart)

9)       Dave and Tony will follow up with committee assignments.

10)   A fireside will be organized (by Mark Grossman and Mary Peplow) for a group of new members within a few months of their induction.
