Local Allocations Day 2023

After 3 years of COVID Delays, on May 9, 2023 our Club hosted a full Local Allocations breakfast celebration at Kypreos with our recipient organizations.

We celebrated our 2023 grants to 17 local schools & 9 not-for-profits.

Thanks to members of the Local Allocations Committee who had the challenging job of allocating $42,000 from requests for $193,000 & 59 applications.  Thanks to Anne Kalbfleisch, Len Brunen, Martin Bender, John Scace & Anne Brubacher.

We strive to make a difference in our Community by investing in Children & Youth.

We like to make a big splash in small pond & help out organizations with fewer fundraising opportunities.

A full list of schools & projects supported is attached and include:

  • peace pole, anti-cyberbullying, sensory & calming rooms & equipment, ice time, skates, helmets, community & indoor gardens, healthy lunches, reading programs, summer art camp scholarships, therapy pony, infant car seats, backpacks, service dog, fresh food bank, skis for disabled children

Thanks to the Club for our hard work & fundraising at Skate 48 that allowed us the funds to invest our local Community.
