As Marilyn mentioned in her Africa presentation, our international Allocations committee supported a School project in Kiryowa to help finish and furnish a school that had been built previously.

Marilyn,
Thank you very much for your recent donation from the Rotary Club of Kitchener Grand River.
As you know, we received a donation of CAN$ 3,500 from your club and spent it as follows:
$500: Cement a new floor
$400: Patch up any holes in walls
$200: Patch up holes in roof or replace the tin roof sheeting
$200: Replace any broken glass windows
$100: New chalkboard
$100: New wall posters from the local Education Board
$50: New Chalk brushes and chalk
$800: Construction of 20 new desks (for 40 children)
$800: School kits for 40 children (pens, pencils, exercise books, ruler, eraser, crayons)
$50: School kit for the teacher
$300: Transportation of construction materials, roofing materials, and school supplies from capital city to the school.
