Happy 32nd anniversary to Rotary Club of Kitchener Grand River!
April 10th marked the 32nd anniversary of the charter of our club. Our remaining charter members include Dennis, Jim, Duane and Doug J. Our club was sponsored by the Kitchener Westmount Club and was to be the first breakfast club in the area. Initial fundraising plan for the club was to staff a charity bingo (which is not recalled fondly by those who participated-too smoky). Duane recalled that he was a spunky 35 year old with a young family when he embarked, along with 5 others, upon an RV trip to Buffalo to receive the club's charter. This would be a road trip that has had a significant impact on many in our community. We celebrated this milestone with some muffins courtesy of Joanne and the charter members received charter member pins. Happy Anniversary to all!
