On Sunday April 22nd, in recognition of Earth Day, the Rotary Club of Kitchener Grand River held a tree planting at Proctor Woods behind Sandhills School on Victoria Street in Kitchener. An intrepid group of Rotarians were joined by family members, Rotaractors and District 7080 Governor, and namesake of the Proctor Woods, Bill Proctor with his wife Judy to plant 35 trees. The weather was amazing and mud was everywhere for this historic event that was encouraged by Rotary International President Ian Riesley. Food and refreshments were enjoyed by all after the work was done with some maple themed treats as draw prizes. Thank you to Marilyn for organizing and to all for the support of this event!
