At our meeting October 14th, Bill gave a brief recap of the recent District Conference.
Attendees who participated in the district conference shared powerful insights about resilience and peacebuilding, reinforcing the club’s peace-focused identity. The key speakers were:
- Rotary Polio Survivor DG Ramesh Ferris. Ramesh Ferris is a polio survivor and Rotarian who resides in Whitehorse, Yukon
- Special Guest Speaker: Joe Dittmar – 9/11 Survivor from the 105th Floor of the World Trade Center. His powerful story of survival was inspirational and moving.
Overall the district conference experience inspired leadership to encourage broader participation in future events to strengthen the club’s community connection and learning.
