On June 25th we gathered to celebrate our Presidential Changeover dinner as we transition from the leadership of Vanessa and the 2023/24 Rotary Theme of Create Hope in the World to the co-Presidency of John and Sharon with the new 2024/25 Rotary Theme of The Magic of Rotary.

Over the last 2 years we have enjoyed the leadership of Vanessa as she aptly navigated us thru the complicated post pandemic years. This evening we celebrated our shared accomplishments and welcomed our incoming Co-Presidents Sharon and John.
In her final address, Vanessa took the time to thank all the of the board members and committee chairs for their support over the past several years. We have accomplished many things including service opportunities with Send em off Smiling and Food 4 Kids, held a very successful Skate48 fundraiser and along the way donated much to both important local and international causes all while offering camaraderie to fellow members needing support and encouragement in times of difficulty and also celebration of our individual successes. Our continued club vibrancy and accomplishments are all cause for celebration! Thank you Vanessa for making this all possible!
Vanessa turned the meeting over to incoming president Sharon with the following words:
"The Magic of Rotary is a fitting theme for the journey ahead. It speaks to the transformative power of our organization—the way our collective efforts can create extraordinary change. Magic, in this sense, is not about illusions, but about the real and profound impact we can have when we come together with a shared purpose. It's about turning the impossible into possible and bringing light into the darkest corners.
Under Sharon and John's leadership, I have no doubt that we will continue to harness this magic. We will build on the foundation of hope we have laid, weaving it into every project, every initiative, and every act of kindness. Together, we will explore new possibilities, embrace innovative ideas, and deepen our commitment to making a difference."
Sharon greeted the members on behalf of herself and John (who was currently cruising the Danube) and introduced the new board for the Club and the Foundation:

Several Milestones and Anniversaries were recognized and Sharon proudly presented Vanessa with a Paul Harris Award from the Club recognizing both her and Joey for their unwavering support of the club over the past two years!

Sharon and John's focus for the next year was a prerecorded message to enable world traveler John to present his thoughts for the upcoming rotary year in absentia!

An enjoyable evening of celebration was had by all as we look forward to continuing to make a difference in our world thru Rotary!
