Opened the meeting, welcomed Rotarians in paticular, Florence and Richard Yeardley recently returned from over seas and Area Governor, Shiralee Judge and guests, Tatum Ashcroft and Justin Hill.
RI President Shekhar Mehta has prepared a statement on Rotary's commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
All Rotarians are required to be supportive, to use respectful language, to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment and to celebrate diversity.
Australian Rotary Health- Dr Werner-Seidler from the Black Dog Institute studying dementia care was presented with the Mid Career Researcher Award. Her research include the prevention and treatment of depression, poor sleep and insomnia.
The RC Townsville Central will hold a Banish the Black Dog Bike Ride on May 28 and 29th.
The Clay Pigeon Shoot will be held at Monarto on Saturday, 4th June. Details to be advised.
All members are required to have Working With Children and Working With Vulnerable Persons Certificates.

Explained that as the club's Community and Fund Raising Director is overworked, those roles need to be shared. In order to separate the Community Service and Fundraising Committees and to add another director to the Board, the club's ByLaws need to be amended.
Motion: That the Board appoint an additional director with effect from July 2022 to be responsible for fundraising.

The high ropes course has been completed. There is great excitement within Op Flinders around this project. There has also been substantial rainfall over the last six months or so I am looking forward to going on exercise three to see if for myself.Before I get there, Peter Baurand probably other members will be at Yankaninna.

Now in the hands of
RORP Victoria, pending advice and action from Egypt on shipping.
Not sure of the status and future expectations by Cairo.

City of
Playford
Two playgrounds dismantled week starting April 4th. Awaiting removal of poles and finalisation with contractor (likely week starting May 2nd. Many lessons learned about being more discerning about the quality of playgrounds.

Two playgrounds surveyed and proposal sent to Council. Further two to be surveyed.. Local Rotarian (RC Club of
Modbury Golden Grove) has been unavailable due to illness.

26th for playground in

Sturt. Via RC West Lakes and RC Grange. Proposal put to Council and now clarifying
details.

Onkaparinga. RC
McLaren Vale have arranged a meeting with City of Onkaparinga on May3rd.
This is the largest Council in the state and one it would be good to engage.

Alexandrina District Council. RC
Goolwa have facilitated an opportunity for a playground in Port
Elliott. Have provided information and a proposal.
vii.
Rural City of Swan Hill (Victoria). Playground at Robinvale (Vic), which is District 9510, but part of a
Council in another District. RORP Vic do not operate in regional Victoria. Have put a proposal via RC Robinvale.

City of Port Lincoln. Large foreshore playground to be replaced. RC
Whyalla are supporting.

Rotary Soapbox spot at the District Conference very well received. Many enquiries for follow-up already.

Wrote to all clubs in District 9510 on April 12th to follow up Conference presentation and provided link to
the presentation on our website.
