Products for the Donut van at the Royal Show are in short supply and an alternative supplier is being contacted.
There are still gaps in the roster to be filled. The yellow highlights on the rosters circulated denote the Team Leader for the shift.
IPP James Hawker
The financial aspects of the acquisition of the former Hills Radio bus involving Hahndorf and Mount Barker Lions and us is still to be completed. Funds held by us from the Council for the Art Show will be donated to a suitable charity as the Art Show will not now be held.
Guest Speaker, Rod Cooper, Treasurer
As it is 3 years since we participated in the Royal Adelaide Show due to Covid restrictions,  Rod gave a comprehensive refresher talk on the operations of the cash register and eftpos machine.

His illustrated presentation was very clear and concise. Full instruction sheets will also be available in the Donut Van. He emphasized the need for care,  as payment to the catering franchise co. Obrien’s,  is based on the highest totals shown on the register and eftpos records.

Pressing the eftpos button on the cash register must not be done until after the transaction has been approved as sometimes the transaction is declined.

If an error is made do not try to rectify it as this is too complicated. If the error is for a large amount make a note and inform O’Briens at the end of the day.

This year tea and coffee will not be sold. The final message is HAVE FUN.
Sergeant, Shawn Hutchinson
Sergeant Shawn made us laugh as usual and fined nearly everyone.
