President Gary Pretty with representatives of recipient partners at the Club Presentation Night 2016
Irymple Rotary Club has delivered more than $20,0000 in donations to charities.
The club distributed $20,070 to various Sunraysia, national and international charities, worthy causes and Rotary programs as a result of its fundraising during the past year.
Secretary John Fitzgibbon explained the contributions as club president Gary pretty made the presentations.. Mr Pretty said the grants were about giving back to the community and carried the ethos of each member in doing their bit to help others.
"We get involved with charities and hold golf days, barbecues and other fundraisers so we can donate," he said.
The year-round effort from the club often sees its members dedicating full days to planning and operating fundraisers. About 20 members volunteered their time to ensure the smooth running of the club's golf day several weeks ago.
At the Presentation Night and collecting donations were Jim Moore (Rotary Foundation), Trish Algate (Rotary International End Polio Campaign), President Gary Pretty, Julie Burnell (Irymple Innerwheel), Kevin Turk (Mildura Eisteddfod Society), Paul Gibbons (Irymple Secondary College), Rod Robinson (Northern Mallee Leaders Program), Martine John (Days for Girls) and Heather Pinyon (Irymple Innerwheel).
