Rotary MBYB: HRM Initiative

Welcome HRM Rotarians!

As the most populated municipality in Atlantic Canada, the Halifax Regional Municipality has the unique opportunity to positively influence the breastfeeding rates within our region, and therefore widespread community health. By adopting practices and policies that protect, promote and support breastfeeding in community spaces (libraries, recreation centers, parks etc.), HRM will help families residing in and visiting our communities to reach their breastfeeding goals.

We're in the process of engaging the HRM Council and creating awareness about this provincial initiative. If you'd like to participate by contacting your councillor, please follow the steps outlined below:

1.       From Downloads (at left), select your HRM District to open the letter to your Councillor (in Microsoft Word). 
              Not sure who your Councillor is? Visit http://eservices.halifax.ca/districtLookup/ to find out!

2.       Scroll to bottom of letter and enter your name in the signature area

3.       Save the file to your computer as MBYB HRM Letter.

4.       Email the file to your Councillor with subject Make Breastfeeding HRM’s Business.
