Keeping busy!

The Rotary Club of Bridgewater & District has been making a difference in our local community and around the world!  Our projects include:

 

• "End Polio Now" Tulip Project
• Memorial benches for Petite Riviere Community Park
• Assistance to the Bridgewater Community Gardens:  construction of a new storage shed  as well as a donation of peach trees
• Dictionary/Mini-encyclopedia program for local Grade 3 students (with the Rotary Club of Lunenburg)
• Adventure in Citizenship program for students at Park View Education Centre (cancelled due to COVID-19)
• Assistance to Habitat for Humanity home construction (with the Rotary Club of Lunenburg)
• Bridgewater Elementary School –play equipment, school gardens
• Hillside Pines “Rotary Room” – (a furnished room with kitchen)
• Bridgewater Music Festival
• Harbour House - transition house
• Safe Grad Program
• Seniors & Veterans projects, including donation to Senior Wheels
• Purchase of energy efficient freezers for local food banks
• BW Interchurch Food Bank Insulation Project to save heating costs
• Rotary International polio eradication
• Education Project in South Africa
• “Mercy Ships” hospital ships
• "Shelter Box" emergency housing in disaster areas
• Safe water projects in Nepal and Lesotho
