Rotary District Governor Visit

Our Rotary District Governor (DG), Larry Harvey (Rotary Club of Sparks), made the annual DG visit to our club during our meeting. He presented his theme, "Make Dreams Come True".

During his presentation, he provided information on the new Rotary International President, Francesco Arezzo, who replaced Mario Cesar Martin de Camargo, who was supposed to be the 2025-2026 President.

He let us know the Rotary goals for this year, which included the importance of membership, continuing our end Polio efforts, the Rotary peace initiative, and how the District supports the club. Check out our Facebook page to see the Live recording.

There were some special awards given to our members: Jan and Liz received the Paul Harris Fellow for all they do for the club, Deborah and Micheal upgraded their membership to Blue badge status, Eric received the Governor's Quiet Rotarian Award, and Terry received the Governor's DreamMaker Award.

Next week, our club will be dark so we can participate in the National Night Out in Old Town.

Gathering Inn Dinner
We prepared and served dinner for the residents of the Gathering Inn. Our members enjoyed making Chinese Chicken Salad, Teriyaki Chicken and Rice, and sliced Watermelon for dessert. The residents were very grateful and thanked us for our efforts

8/05 2025 National Night Out

Please join us at the 2025 National Night Out in Old Town Auburn for this family-friendly carnival-style event. We will be there serving snow cones. We will have 2 shifts available to serve our delicious treats. Tell your friends to please stop by and say hi!

8/5 Club Meeting is dark since we will be participating in National Night Out in Old Auburn, serving snow cones.

8/12 Club Meeting with Auburn Mayor Sandy Amara, who will provide us with an update on what is happening in the city.

8/19 Fun Club Meeting. Our own PDG Stacy Graham will bring fun games to the club.

8/23 Work Project at Acres of Hope.

8/26 PDG Steve Lemmon will be talking with us about what he has gotten out of Rotary and The Rotary Foundation.

8/28 Rotary Peace Pole Dedication at Rec Park.
