1st Meeting of the New Rotary Year
At our first meeting of the new Rotary year, new President Ray Ward presided over a Club Assembly
Our club was joined by former Rotarian Bill Bowen, an Employment Lawyer, and his 3 sons: Will, Sean, and Thomas.
One of the first orders of business was to induct New Member Isador BeLovin into the club. She was joined by her partner Crazen. Isador is a passionate chef and caterer, as well as possessing many other talents. Her sponsor and mentor is Terry Buck.

During the Club Assembly portion of the meeting, President Ray discussed Growing Rotary, not only the memberships but in the fundraising and community service that we do. The reason, the more we grow, the more we can help our community.
Also, our board member and community service chair, Terry Buck, discussed upcoming community projects and help our membership can help him find future projects.
Next, The Rotary Foundation chair Stacy Graham discussed Rotary's End Polio program and Annual fund.
Finally, President Ray wrapped up the Assembly, discussing 1st quarter goals for the club.
After the presentation, PDG Stacy presented the club with a banner for the Rotary International Convention.

President Ray closed, reminding everyone about the awesome speaker who will be at our next meeting on July 15th, Jim Pelley. Jim is a former comedian and a contributing writer for the original Saturday Night Live. His presentation will discuss laughter and how it can help in the workplace, reduce stress, and help you in your life. This is a great meeting to invite your friends and local business people.
