Their program provides meat to non-profits that serve the hungry in Placer County. The main way they get the meat is by supporting local FFA students by buying their animals at the Placer County Fair auction. They buy steers and pigs, then they have them processed into ground meat and donate the packaged meat to local non-profits. In addition, local companies also donate animals to Feed the Hungry of Auburn.

 

They also told an inspiring story of a high school FFA student who decided to raise animals not for the fair but for Feed the Hungry. 

 

In addition, Feed the Hungry is now collecting toys during the holiday season and distributing them to local organizations.
