In late June, our Club gathered for our annual Changeover Luncheon. It’s a tradition that gives us a moment to look back with gratitude and look forward with excitement.
As the Rotary year came to a close, we extended a heartfelt thank you to outgoing President, Derek Winsor. Derek wrapped up his term exactly as he began it: with energy, pride, and a genuine commitment to bringing us together. His leadership strengthened our club and the work we do for our community.
We were also pleased to welcome incoming President Charlene Brophy, who received her official president’s pin as Derek passed along the Rotary bell and gavel. It was a meaningful moment and a reminder of the continuity, service, and shared purpose that define Rotary.
Derek also took time to recognize two Rotarians who consistently offer guidance, mentorship, and steady support: Bruce Templeton and Jim Carroll. Their dedication to Rotary is remarkable, and their willingness to help whenever needed is appreciated more than words can say.
As we look to the new Rotary year, we do so with appreciation for the leaders who have guided us, pride in what we’ve accomplished together, and appreciation for the opportunities ahead.
Here’s to another year of service above self, fellowship, and making a meaningful difference in our community.
