Off-site Meeting at the
Kitchener Memorial Auditorium
 
Club members and guests were at an off-site luncheon hosted by the Kitchener Rangers.
 
Newly appointed Communications and Team Services Manager Lindsay Eastwood was the speaker.
 
The event consisted of a tour of McLelland Hall, home to Kitchener Ranger memorabilia, followed by a luncheon in the Subscribers lounge. The meeting finished off with a tour of the Kitchener Rangers office, dressing room and facilities.

The Rangers were on the ice for a morning practice.
 
 
Graham Gardiner and Tim Bradich check out the old wooden hockey sticks from the past. Tim reminisced about the days he would visit the Kitchener Hockey stick factory to buy sticks.

Rick and Janice Bolzon have been billeting Kitchener Ranger players for 10 years. Rick explained "The Rangers we have had are like our own children! We have been blessed with the kids we have had in our home".
 
Several players Rick and Janice have hosted are currently active playing hockey. Joseph Garreffa is playing in Italy and Francesco Pinelli is with LA's farm team the Ontario Reign.
 
The Host Family Program plays a major role in the team’s success both on and off the ice. 

It takes special people to open their homes and hearts to  players and the Ranger organization places the utmost emphasis on ensuring players are placed in environments that are conducive to care, understanding and safety.
