2018 Hike for Cancer with her daughter Mia
Daughter is 16years old and has been her companion the whole trail.
Hiked 500k in Aug 2018
They had both lost friends and family to cancer and wanted to do something to raise funds and awareness.
Lynn came up with idea-took 7 months of planning.
Lynn had done it 20 years ago for a friend with Breast Cancer.
16km per day for 28 days.
Sent out 600 emails to try and raise funds.
$20,000 was the goal. They raised $16,505.
Left on Aug 1 from Nottawasaga lookout, Bruce trail is Canada's oldest foot path. Aug 31- landed in Tobermory.
Last night was at Cypress Lake. They lit a luminaria for each person they lost.
This weekend, Lynn and Mia will be completing the final leg of a 900k hike on the Bruce trail.
