Larry had an entrepreneurial background since he was a child and leading up to University where he led the sales in various departments including bus sales.

Started at Burley Bus Lines and then changed to United Trails.

 

Lorna Hundt joined the company and eventually married and still are to this day. 

In 1984, they started their own business called Travel Ventures. Their vision that differentiated themselves was having new buses with huge panoramic windows (which were a huge hit!) 

 

The referendum in Montreal was a pivotal part in their lives where they had many coaches that attended including assisting arranging other coaches cross from the US to attend.  After the vote and result they decided to dedicate all of their coaches to Canada.  This meant forgoing all additional revenue potential that was possibly to be o the bus in exchange for paintings and art all inspired by Canada.

 

1998 - they changed the name of their company to Great Canadian Coach Line

One of their most proud accomplishments is starting a foundation for children to write essays based on why Canada is important to them.  This program is now going Nation Wide.  

 

Couple extra interesting points on the business: Mystery tours are their most popular tours - did them for 14 years straight and multiple guests attended each one.  They work with students, Universities, Sports Teams, - they can save 50 cars on the road in exchange for 1 coach, which helps contribute to less pollution."
