- Graham and Louise received Polio+ Society pins for their recent contribution towards eradicating polio

- Everton: YWCA requested 10K donation to build a new playground that is also accessible to the community, approved by grant committee and board but needed club vote to proceed. Club voted yes to proceed
- Brad: flag program, 38 more to sell. 2 sales last week. Reminder of monthly prize for those who sell. Brooke is updating brochure so members can share.
Everton- VFL draw is May 15, lottery licence application submitted. There will be a lunch and learn to go over details.

- Meet Ray Finnie
- Semi retired, likes the work Rotary does and his expectations have been exceeded and he feels very welcomed.
- Went over places lived, he moved a lot but was born in Vancouver
- Family introductions: three children and 9? Grandchildren. Married on Friday October 13th (fitting for his old biker days and the notorious Port Dover rally)
- Went over his accomplished career journey and is happily now semi retired
- Discussed non-profit involvement and has been active with 10 charities. The most notable was working with World Vision to fund the construction of two schools in Rwanda
- Hobbies and interests: loves crossword puzzles (30 year streak with the Globe and Mail!!), fitness, cottaging, family time, travelled to over 60 countries, Hawaii being his favourite tourist destination
- why Rotary: has been very fortunate so he’s proud to pay back the community where he lives, raises awareness of community needs, meet new people and broaden horizons, wants to put into action “service above self"
