Paul Harris Award Presentations
President Brandon presented Andrew Williams with his Four-sapphire Paul Harris pin and Brad Swanson with his Five-sapphire pin. Congratulations to these generous Rotarians for their ongoing personal support for the charitable works of the International Rotary Foundation!

Members had lunch at the Evolv1 Hub, and then were toured through the various aspects of Canada’s first Zero Carbon Building. This uniquely modern 104,000 square foot building is available for rental space, and is in the heart of Waterloo’s Idea Quarter.
Project Manager, Thor, explained the various aspects of how they were able to achieve net positive carbon output and are certified LEED Platinum.
There are only a few other such buildings in Ontario, but should definitely set the standard for sustainable climate control for future construction.

Rotary Fellowship
On Saturday July 22, John Thompson, Kelly and Terry Strome, Bill and Carolyn Pegg, Owen Lackenbauer and Karin Voisin toured the Private collections of vintage vehicles in the Garage Tour event in Mildmay and surrounding areas. We especially enjoyed seeing the car driven by abdicating King Edward, and a beautiful pontoon boat ride around Pike Lake with John Thompson.
