Guest Speaker:
Our guest speaker today was Alexandar Pavlov of Immigrant Professionals. Alexandar spoke about his previous life and professional work as a lawyer in Bulgaria. Alexandar spoke of the corruption in the Bularian system and which ultimately led to his resignation in 2014 and eventual immigration to Canada in 2015.
As a recent immigrant to Canada, Alexandar volunteered for a period of time and ultimatelt received permanent residency in 2016. During that time he applied for many jobs and ever since has worked very hard to build his professional network. Those experiences ultimately led Alexandar to become an advocate for immigrants to Canada, helping match newcomers to employers.
Bill Pegg thanked Alexandar on behalf of the Club.
