David Kreutzkamp-Flightline Services

Gulfstreams, Traffic Jams and Top Guns how are these three items related. Traffic Jams: is a regular part of driving on the 401. Adding more lanes is not going to solve the problem. Technology: Brings a lot of positives, but has its draw backs. It is a barrier that causes disconnect between you and society. Commercial Airports: They bring a great resource with lots of infrastructure, but getting there is always an issue.

Flightline is an FBO (Fix Based Operator). They work to solve aviation issues for visitors coming in to the region. They handle airlines cargo, executive business, and planning. They are the primary service provider at the Waterloo Region Airport. They take care of 2000 visitors every year. Ninety percent of those visitors are business aviation coming into the airport. Business aviation employs 43,000 people and brings $3.1 billion in revenue to the region. Flightline has been here for 20 years and is a family run business.

It is important to make guests welcome. Their operation covers five different facilities at the airport. There is a high level of investment in this area so they can service the airplanes that arrive. Clean, comfort and consistence is what they aim for. The main hanger which is part of their facilities serves a wide range of aircraft. As small as single Cessna to multi-national jets.

The Waterloo Warbirds aims to preserve, share and take flight of a small selection of vintage and WWII aircraft.  It is an amazing step to put people in these vintage planes and give them a live time experience in the air.
There is an ongoing conversation with management at Flightline to bring the International Air Show back to the airport. It requires a more community focus, which was missing in the last attempt.
