President Judy opened the meeting with the Rotary Land Acknowledgement

We would like to acknowledge that the land on which we live and work today is the land traditionally used by the Hoaudenosaunee, Anishnaabe and Neutral people.  We also acknowledge the enduring presence and deep traditional knowledge, laws and philosphies of the Indigenous people with whom we share this land today.

Market Update:
Key take aways
  • Interest rates are going up this year and the Ukraine invasion are causing volatility in the market.
  • Not selling today is in your best interests.  (Very difficult to time the market twice)
  • When Geo political things cause the market volatility the market comes back stronger within one year.
  • Canadian stocks are performing very well and look promising in the current climate.
