Region of Waterloo Community Connector-for the Charles Street Re-Visioning Project
-the old bus terminal in downtown Kitchener is jointly owned by the
Region and City.
-the city is gathering feedback from the community on how best to re-use the property, that currently sits vacant.
-ideas being considered include affordable housing, job training facility, Tech hub, community space, something to bring people together.
-members provide feedback on their suggestions for the site.
-Mac proposed a world class 10,000 seat arena, a facility to generate revenue for the city, bring people downtown to support local businesses, a home for concerts and events, right on the $1.2B ION light rail route, great idea Mac! (and then put the new hospital at the Auditorium site, brilliant.)
-Have an idea, fill out the survey for the city, they need your good ideas.
