On May 11th 50/50 Pot was $84.50 with no winners. (Paul, Tim and Rick were unlucky today.)
Michael Lambert presented his Who Am I.
Michael was born in Toronto and lived in Michigan from age of 6 to 11 where he was raised as an American with no French. He picked up on snow boarding, graduated from high school in 2004 and went out West on his own with approx. $5000 on his snowboarding journey. Michael achieved Vancouver Olympic success and as an 18 year old received support from government and teammates. He was lucky to receive no major injuries and only some concussions. Presently a fall will result in 2 weeks of concussion symptoms. Ginger Whitney, became a part of Michael's life as he realized she preferred to hang out with Michael rather than his sister. John Whitney helped to paint KW as a positive picture with much action. Michael is involved in commercial real estate. Rotary is a good fit for Michael because he had been supported by many in his snowboarding career and he knows he wanted to give back to the community including the homeless. As an athlete everything revolved around himself and he knew he did not want to live like that. Michael is happy to learn, take stuff on and give back and we welcome Michael to our Rotary Club.
