Fellow members, as we get close to the end of another Rotary year, and as we are starting to see light at the end of the pandemic tunnel, I thought I'd take this opportunity to thank members who have been faithful in carrying out their responsibilities, and attending meetings when they can.

I remember the first meeting I attended after such a long stretch of lockdown, zoom meetings and self-Isolating.  To see my fellow Rotary friends in person was a huge thrill.  I remember thinking Mac Graham had grown another foot tall!  The buzz in the room, whether it was at Kypreos or at the Concordia, was evidence that we had missed each other and the wonderful camaraderie that our club is known for.  At times, President Judy had to patiently insist we settle down and get to the business of the day and our great meals.

Recently a club member who had not been attending the meetings, even though we were now meeting in person, commented that he/she was glad to be gently encouraged to come out again.  Like me, the reconnection with Rotary friends, brought a feeling of warmth of being back with a group of wonderful people.

I encourage you to come out to a meeting if and when you can.  I can guarantee you will get that same "friend rush", and it will help to get us moving again to do great things in the community.

Hope to see you soon,
Karin Voisin,
Membership Chair
