Funding from Rotary Kitchener-Westmount was presented to Parents for Community Living on Thursday June 8, 2017 at one of the agency's Waterloo residences. That facility includes a Sensory Integration Room that improves brain function and stimulation and lowers anxiety levels for individuals who are developmentally delayed or have autism.
The club and members donated $9,500 for the room, with a large cheque presentation that included (l-r) Rotary Kitchener Westmount president Troy Stuebing, donations committee member Rotarian Brandon Flewwelling, Parents for Community Living staff members Lisa Larocque (Senior Support Supervisor), Kathy Loveys (Executive Director) and Mary Anne Linka (Manager, Community Supports), and Rotarian Laura Power, a member of the Board of Directors.
