Announcements:
Chris Wilks has a birthday on Saturday, 11 March. John Thompson celebrated 14 years of membership in our Club.
50/50 draw on Wednesday for KidsAbility. Judi Nairn : there is 5 club 50/50 draw, cards available for members to hand them, with QR code.
We need speakers for the next months.
John Thompson: Rotary Meets is going well, will continue until 31 March, but the members are encouraged to meet each other after that.
Karin: Game night sign up is going well, the date is 28 March.
Michelle:12 members signed for the golf event but 2 of them will not be able to come, more participants are encouraged to join.
There is an offsite event on 22 March at Charles/Goekel str. in Downtown Kitchener - Art project.
Karin: 28 April is the date for Rotary people in Action, the deadline is this Friday.
Mac: Trivia Challenge will be on 28 April and Rotary Leadership Institute will be on 22 April.
John Thompson: Rotary Fellowship- interested Rotarians can attend the Stratford Festival in May or June
Bill Green's mother-in-law, Patricia Fryer, (Laura's mother) passed away on March 2nd.

Guest Speaker : Don Wilcox
He was introduced by Neil Atchison as a long time Rotarian, supporter of arts and other projects. Don was born on 10 June 1936, his parents wanted him to become a dentist but his passion was TV.
He studied Radio and TV at Ryerson University. His first full time job was in Huntsville as a program manager for 18 months. In 1959 he moved to Kitchener for the new radio CKKW as a morning radio host.
He married in 1961 ans had extensive professional career in CKCO and CFCA. In 1975 he became Program Director of CKCO and in 1988 - General Manager of CKCO. He retired in 1995.
In 1998 he was Citizen of the Year. He has been a Rotarian since 1977.
He was President of Rotary Club Kitchener-Westmount in 1984-1985.
