We toured the Research Institute on Aging at the Schlegel University Gates site. We learned about the various ways research is being done on the cause and effects of dementia. We also learned how advances are being made in helping people with dementia to live safely and productively while coping with the disease.
A luncheon followed the RIA tour.

Polio Plus Games Night - Oct 25th
The opening Crocinole round at Games night. There was a clear winner - notice the eager position of Ray! A great evening of fellowship was enjoyed by Rotarians.
Rotary Donation
Karin Voisin, Graham Gardiner and Karen Spencer show off new playground equipment. Our club made a financial contribution for the equipment. The equipment will be well-used and enjoyed by the families at the new YWCA.
Rotary Youth Exchange
At our recent Crown and Anchor fundraiser at the Concordia, two current Youth exchange participants paid us a visit.
Saimi Hartikainen (From Finland) who is being hosted by our club (Kitchener) and is attending WCI secondary School.
And
Reo Fukasawa (From Japan) is being hosted by the Cambridge Sunrise Club and is attending St Benedict’s secondary School.
