It’s great to see the club continuing to move forward as we head towards what is always one of the busiest times of our Rotary year.

This week also marks the first time we are trialling our club bulletin through ClubRunner. It’s a new way for us to keep everyone informed and connected, so please bear with us as we work through the process. Hopefully, it will become a useful and regular way of sharing what is happening across our club.

The Town Fair is less than 2 weeks away!

With the Diamond Creek Town Fair fast approaching, now is the time for everyone to get involved.

Please book your attendance at the Town Fair Safety Briefing Night. Safety is a responsibility we all share, and this briefing is an important opportunity to make sure we are all clear about our roles and how we can help make the Fair a safe and enjoyable day for everyone.

It is also time to put your hand up for a Town Fair volunteer role. We need all our members to help where they can, but we also recognise that we can’t do it alone. Please ask your family, friends and neighbours if they would be willing to lend a hand. A few hours of their time can make a huge difference and helps take the pressure off our small team.

The Town Fair is one of the biggest things we do as a club, and it really is a wonderful example of Rotary bringing our community together.

Milne Bay Netballers

A special thank you this week to Shaun Fitzpatrick for arranging the uniforms for the Milne Bay netballers.

This is a fantastic example of how a relatively simple Rotary project can have a real and lasting impact. The uniforms are now being put to great use, and there is a terrific article telling the story and showing how they are being used. Have a look at the link in this bulletin — it’s well worth a read.

Thanks Shaun for making this happen and, importantly, for helping us connect our club with a community well beyond Diamond Creek.

As always, thank you to everyone for the time, energy and enthusiasm you continue to put into Rotary. What we achieve as a club is only possible because members are willing to step up and have a go.

Greg

Hope in a Suitcase

It is very exciting to see that our own Bendigo Community Bank is supporting hope in a suitcase!  Check out the video on facebook!

Milne Bay Netballers

Take a look at the how Shaun Fitzpatrick has helped engender pride in the Milne Bay netballers by using his connections with New Blance.  Thank you Shaun.

Time to Book for the Town Fair Safety Briefing Night

Please make sure you have booked for the Town Fair Safety Brefing night.  Safety is at the core of everything we do at town fair, and having all of us understanding the plan is esential.
