Noel Hill attended the 10th birthday celebrations.
The club have a membership of 96 with 4 on the waiting list. 85 members came along to help celebrate the groups birthday. A strong and active club.

Ann Crossley - 16 years of service
Ann joined Rotary Rotorua North in 2001.
Her father was a charter member of Kihikihi Rotary.
Ann was Rotorua Norths first lady President in 2010-2011.
Ann joined Rotary to be involved and give something back to the community.
She enjoys the fellowship and opportunity to talk to people she would not normally interact with in her day job.

Guest Speaker - Ian Guy and Jared Johnston - Rotorua Cycling
Cycling Rotorua was formed at the beginning of 2005 and has a current membership of around the 100 riders.
Rotorua North gave the club a donation which helped provide a new battery for the team van, provided 3000km of Road User Charges and approx 150l of fuel.
In addition to promoting the sport, raise money for events, and training the team are involved in the local community and have raised money for the Stephanie McHale memorial fund, assist at local events such as rider assist at the marathon and lead out riders for other athletes.
Congratulations on the work you are doing to promote road cycling, we look forward to seeing some of the young riders progressing in the sport.
Useful information if you are on duty
If you are rostered for Grace/Cashier/Welcome duties, it is your responsibility to:

Present yourself by 5.15pm to prepare the room for the club meeting.

Be ready to greet club members and visitors by 5.30pm.

Put out all equipment from the store room and to ensure venue is appropriately set up.

Ensure equipment is returned to its rightful place in the store room at conclusion of meeting and that the venue is left tidy.

Equipment includes bell, gavel, lectern, President’s banner, NZ flags, badge box, visitor’s book & labels, registration sheet, make-up sheet and pen, portrait of the Queen, pennant banners and speaker system (check it works).

Presentation aids such as projectors, screen, video, TV, data show, etc may be required – the need for these should be advised by the member introducing the speaker. Assist in setting this equipment up.

When an alternative venue is being used, ensure all equipment is transferred to and returned from the alternative meeting place
Cashier (5.15pm)

Collect all payments for meals, subscriptions, etc and record on Attendance Sheet provided. (NB. Cost of not having meal is $2)

Record all apologies, leave of absences, visitors & guests and make-ups, (Make ups are recorded on a separate sheet and should be given to President before start of business)

Record additional payments clearly e.g. subscriptions, Christmas puddings, etc.

Ensure Secretary has full attendance list prior to commencement of dinner.

Balance cash, and then pass cash and attendance list to Treasurer.

District Changeover - 1 July
District Changeover and welcoming Leonie Tisch to the role of DG will be held this year in Matamata.
$35 per person
11.30 am start
12.30 lunch to be followed by guest speaker Lisette Hulme.

Lisette will be speaking about Days for Girls - an organisation dedicated to creating a more free, dignified, and educated world, through providing lasting access to feminine hygiene solutions and health education.
According to Richard Evans this is a presentation not to be missed.
