We were recently honoured to have one of our own members talk to us about his volunteer role writing life biographies for people in Rotorua Hospice.
Taking on average 100 hours per book Geoff believes this is one of the best volunteering things he has ever done, especially as he has also considered himself to be a writer not a reader.

Many of the patients really enjoy a conversation about good times, with someone outside of family who isn’t in grief/anxious/upset/angry or from legal/medical connections.

Geoff continues with this work and has now taken on the role as a trainer.
