Saturday 14 July we will celebrate running the Rotary Saturday for 30 years.

The concept of a market was raised on 27 January 1988 tby Luke Martin with the proposed venue being the Woolworths Car Park (now the site of the Novotel).

It was suggested that this could be held every second Saturday of the month from 7am – 12 noon with 3 member rostered on duty and anticipated that we could have 120 sites and charge $8 per site.

30 years later and 6 site changes we are proud to have contributed over $800,000 to the community (local and international).

To recognise this occasion we will be having activities and free giveaways at the market on the 14 July, Big Brothers, Big Sisters have been nominated as the chairty for the day and feees normally collected from the stall holders will go to this charity.

The major, MP's and District Govenor Graham Jull will be calling in during the day.

How about popping down and seeing what Rotary does in your community.
