November Theme: The Rotary Foundation From President Bruce I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend. It was a special day yesterday for Barry Young as he turned 90 years of age. Barry, I hope you had the opportunity to catch up with family and friends to celebrate this milestone. It was also good to have Terry and Peter attend our meeting last Wednesday. Our Danish exchange student Daniel gave a presentation at last week’s meeting on his first few months on exchange. Daniel has certainly embraced the Australian lifestyle and has made the most of his opportunities. His English is also very good, and I was not aware that the Danish and English languages are very similar in terms of pronunciation. It was also good to catch up with Linda over Zoom and her school life seems busy and I would imagine it would be a difficult to transition to make to repeat a year at school whilst all your friendship group have moved up a year. I had a chat to Ron at the end of last week’s meeting and he is keen to get more content from our members on what they have been up to. If you have any content on any of your travels or pastimes, please email them through to Ron to put in the bulletin. As mentioned in last week’s column on Friday the 24th of November Stephen has organised a social night with other Albury Rotary clubs. The night will be at the Thirsty Devil which is at 289 Townsend Street in Albury and the start time is 6pm. Please RSVP by the 17th of November and there will be no Wednesday meeting that week. Have a great week! YIR, Bruce Haszard
