Plan Manager, ClimateActionWR

Kate Daley is the Plan Manager for ClimateActionWR, a collaboration between local organizations and community members focused on climate change mitigation.  Led by Reep Green Solutions and Sustainable Waterloo Region, ClimateActionWR coordinates the activities of the Climate Action Plan – establishing cross-sector dialogue, facilitating collaborative opportunities, and monitoring and measuring progress towards achieving our community’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction target of 6% below 2010 levels by 2020. ClimateActionWR is currently consulting with community stakeholders about plans for a long-term greenhouse gas emission reduction target. Before becoming Plan Manager in August of 2017, Kate completed her PhD in political science at York University, studying the Region of Waterloo's land use planning policies."
