SAVE THE DATE: Heidi's President's Levy - Come join us at our Thursday meeting on February 13 for this special event. In the spirit of this year's International Convention being held in Honolulu, the levy is a Hawaiin theme so trim your grass skirts, iron your contest-worthy Hawaiian shirt  and dust off your Don Ho memorabilia. Fellow member Andrew Leith will be bringing his ukulele. If you have one, bring it along! Significant others are happily invited so bring out your sweetheart for a pre-Valentine outing!
Tom E reminded us of our Curling Bonspiel on March 5. It's a GREAT day and just 5 weeks away! You don't need to know how to curl, just come out and have some fun.  The $85 registration fee includes 2 1/2 meals and three 5 end games. Individuals and teams  are welcome.  We currently have 13 teams registered and can only take a maximum of 16. Don't wait to find a team. Sign up and Tom and Kim will find you one! Program
Paul McMenemy introduced his friend Randy Bourne.
Randy was born in Sarnia but moved to Timmins  when 15 to live with one of his sisters..  There he completed high school and started work as a machinist.  From there he moved to Alberta and started work in the petro chemical industry.  I got lost here but I did recognize the name Nova Tel/   Randy worked with  many of the original cell phones. including some that came in a bag.  He moved to the USA  and did a stint with Samsung.  .  Later he worked for a few startups in the cell phone industry but they went bankrupt.  I think at that stage he came back to Canada and worked for RIM soon to be Blackberry.  He then worked for a company Eurocan pet treats.  (  treats are made from bull penis's)    Marcia says they are quite good.  ( this reminds me of a joke that Paul McMenemy once told).
Now Randy works for himself in the financial service industry.  BOURNE CAPITAL is the name and uses financial products from both the banking and insurance field with his clients.
Randy has 3 children one son in Montreal and one out west and a 22 year old daughter that resides in Texas.
Lastly Randy is married to our one and only own Marcia!!
