Announcements and Upcoming Events
Todd L - reported that the Cambridge Bingo and Gaming Centre is open again 7 days a week from 11am - 11pm.  Actual bingo is not being played, but if you visit, you have full access to their electronic gaming machines.  Capacity is limited, but it's still a great place to have some fun out of the house!  The Centre is also a great source of funds for some of our charitable giving, including the recent gifts to KidsAbility and CNOY sponsorship - please check it out!

Larry B - and the archivers are looking to borrow a high capacity scanner to assist
Brian W - has a copy of the minutes of our very first meeting EXACTLY 95 years ago today!
Larry B - announced our Zone is organizing a clean-up day for April 24 - so we'll come up with some ideas...  mark the day!
Todd L - everyone should check out https://www.kidsabilitysuperherochallenge.com/
This describes the SuperHero Challenge for KidsAbility, June 7-13.  There are corporate sponsorship packages starting at $500 that offer great visibility - and, hopefully everyone will get involved by either participating, or supporting those of us who will.  More to follow!
Pres. Heidi - reminded us of our weekly club 'fellowship walk' around the GCC at 11am on Saturday; and also plugged the $22 weekend grill packages that can be ordered/picked up to support the GCC - they are always EXCELLENT!
Program
PP Linda introduced Dr. Tyler Roberts from Nature's Vibe Natural Health Centre on Grand Ave in Galt.

- 2400 years ago, Hippocrates spoke of the 'healing power of nature' - and it's just as true today as then.
- Naturopathic Doctors require a Bachelor's degree, followed by 4 years training, including 4,500 instructional hours, and 1,200 clinic hours, which include 155 hours on nutrition
- most extended health benefit plans cover all or a portion of their fees
- it's all about 'look after yourself first', then you'll be healthy to care for your family and community
- health is most affected by Stress, Sleep, Exercise, and Diet
Tips for the spring:
- eat warm well cooked foods
- reduce refined sugar intake
- bundle up when going outside - especially back of your neck, your 'wind gate'
- 8 hours of sleep a night
- and do a 'warming sock treatment'
Vitamins are vital - but the ones in regular drug stores are hardly worth taking - but properly balanced ones can be found in specialty natural stores - talk to your Naturopath!

Dean B thanked Dr. Tyler, followed by President Heidi - a great presentation - with many reminders to LOOK AFTER YOURSELF!

huh...   mom was right...
