Vanessa announced that she is exercising (no pun intended)what last week’s speaker suggested - she is doing the stairs and taking a break from sitting at her desk! Perhaps that may a challenge to us all  - get those legs moving for the Fun Run for Kidsability that will be coming up soon!

Paul Mc wanted to put good news in however, possibly the greatest game in NFL history- saved the Buffalo Bills from losing another Super Bowl.

Program
President Rajbir introduced our DGovenor Elect Sandhya or Rotary Club of Burlington and a Rotarian of 12 years. shortly after joining she participated in the Disricts training team as well as the visioning program helping many clubs with their strategic planning.
Sandhya works at Sun Life in the HR delivering the companies global HR technology initiatives.
She is the eldest of four siblings, dating a Rotarian and the daughter of a Rotarian.
Sandhya enjoys cooking, baking and hiding out with a good book.
As DG elect Sandhya took us through what the district is doing currently with the website assistance-club leadership training virtual and President Elect training -PPE Todd will be attending as it has been decades since he was last prez of the club- the computers were much bigger….
Sandhya is so passionate about her vision for our District in 2022/2023 - she is a true leader and is looking forward to engaging and transforming our clubs by providing them the tools of engagement, enablement and coaching.
Introduced a model entitled Agile Modern - you can google it -the wheel can be applied to business as well as rotary. It’s premise is framework - just as we have experienced through COVID one needs to pivot and adapt quick.
The wheel had 4 key areas
make people awesome at whatever they do with products and services - what do our current Rotarians personally want and need from Rotary -how can we make it better. Know our community and demographic
Deliver value - what are the small things that we can do to make an impact in a short period- our community service director Rena is awesome engaging us with that for our club- how do we use our resources in our own club better
Make safety of reputation a pre-requisite- how can we collaborate with other organizations to strengthen our club and have our community really recognize the great work we do and strength of our Brand- get better at telling our story!
Experiment - fail fast and learn quick- think outside the box and try different things- how can we learn from what has not worked in the past
That will be the incoming DG’s focus in hopes that we build Happier Rotarians and community partners that feel valued and involved!
