Opening and Sgt at Arms Report
President Paul opened the meeting and Ben Jeffries led us in a dirge-like rendition of O'Canada. I think we are out of practice. Jared did the 4 way test and Alicia said the Invocation.
With our glasses of green beer we toasted Canada, Rotary, St Patrick whose day is tomorrow and the Queen.

Sargeant at Arms was Neil Main. 22 of our finest present and accounted for. 2 guests: Jared and Kaylee Woods.

Health and Good Cheer
John Jonas was present today and he is progressing. Able to sit up and take nourishment, even green beer. No further NDE's  ( near death experiences)
50-50 Draw
Chris Ainsworth skillfully hung on to the pot.Pedro and Alicia were unsuccessful. The pot is getting Really Big!!
Good News
Cayley is back from the Bahamas. Warm weather and sand....ahhh, sounds great.
Jim Johnson said that there were some challenges selling his golf cart business. (or something like that). But when all was said and done he has ended up being the ' world-wide' sales guy for the business.
Larry announced that the Aecon Charity of Choice Committee gave $5000 to the Women's Crisis Shelter and another $3500 for Lauren's Van. Way to go!
Jokester Paul
A Joke about some person calling Rogers to disable a certain channel.

( Paul is definitely making a creative comeback)

Program
Paul T introduced Alicia Hosein doing her ' about me'.
Alicia grew up in Trinidad  which is very multicultural but retains the  ' very properness ' of the British.
She wore uniforms to school and grew up in a strict Muslin household.
She went to the University of West Indies in Trinidad. She got married in Trinidad and showed a slide of the wedding getaway car which was a motorcycle.
Her mom preceded her to Canada.
Both her and her husband are car afficionados. He works at BMW.
They have three kids and one God son.

Alicia has had a busy carreer in the money lending business. Working her way up from customer service person to a fully fledged mortgage broker. There was a short stint around 2008 I think when she delved into Tech stuff at RIM and Insurance Claims at Allianz.
In 2014 she joined Dominion Lending as a Mortgage Broker. This is and independent Brokerage that has access to 50 lenders.

Sounds like a busy life.  I asked about Trinidadian cooking and hot peppers. The Trinidadian ' Scorpian' pepper is 5,000 times hotter than the 'Scotch Bonnett' pepper. Hey Paul this is one thing that the Scots don't do better.  Let's all have a pot luck.
Thank you  Alicia.
