Katie Hamilton’s bio

Katie moved to Cambridge about three years ago with her partner Scott, after living in London, England for 5 years. They now have a 1 year old boy named Hoxton, born at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital. She grew up in Richmond Hill, Ontario and her family is in Canada and Italy.

She went to the University of Toronto and studied Cognitive Science, and then finished an honours bachelor of Health (Pschology) at York University. After working on Bay St in Private Investment Advice at TD Bank, she decided to change careers and become a Change Manager. To do this, she completed an MBA at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa with a focus on Change Management.

Currently she works at Deloitte as a management consultant and primarily helps public sector organizations manage the big change to new cultures and technologies. She’s worked at Deloitte for the past 9 years in Ottawa and England, doing projects around the world.

Once She moved to Cambridge, she joined both the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Board as well as Soroptimist. She has supported many fundraising events with Soroptimist, but was keen to introduce a hands on program in Cambridge. This led to the launch of the Dream It * Be It program with a fellow Soroptimist Kelly Thomas.
