Alison De Muy

Alison De Muy is Director of Strategy and Innovation at the Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington.  In her role, Alison works to improve the quality and experience of care, raises awareness and reduces the stigma of mental health and works to create meaningful partnerships in the goal of building mentally healthy communities.  Previous to her role at CMHA WW, Alison was Senior Manager of Health System Transformation at the Waterloo Wellington Local Health Integration Network.  Before entering the world of local healthcare, Alison was a founding partner at Overlap Associates, a design-thinking firm in the Waterloo Region. There, Alison worked with clients in technology, municipalities, healthcare and other industries who have challenges with creativity and innovation. With a background in public policy, public affairs, marketing and communications, Alison works with teams to overcome obstacles and realize a shared vision.

Alison honed her negotiation and partnership skills in the public sector working on Parliament Hill, in Washington DC and as a member of the senior leadership team at the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI), and international affairs think tank in Waterloo, ON.

Alison has a BA Honours and a Bachelors of Education from the University of Ottawa and an MA in History from Western University.
