Hear from our Metro Savannah Rotary Preston Johnson Speech contest winners: Syniah Seabrian (1st place) and Serani Hasan (2nd place), both freshman at Woodville-Tompkins High School.  Syniah and Serani, along with four other Woodville-Tompkins students competed in March in a club-level contest.  They joined winners from other clubs in our area to compete at a Zone-level contest on Saint Simon's Island on April 1.  Syniah and Serani will deliver their winning speeches to our club, and we will present them with certificates and cash awards.

Preston Johnson High School Speech Contest History: Initiated in 1997 by Dublin Rotarian and Past District Governor, Preston Johnson, the annual District high school speech contest is a special project engaging Rotarians, educators, and students. The competition is a meaningful and rewarding opportunity for the development of future leaders. Originally named the Four-Way Test Speech Contest, the competition has evolved to also include the current Rotary International President’s Annual Theme.
