AAUW Book sale October 19 and 26
The American Association of University Women (AAUW) book sale is accepting donations.
You can donate your new or gently used books and electronic media at Dick's Market and Family Fresh Market in River Falls and County Market in Hudson. Please no encyclopedias or textbooks.
Proceeds will be used to fund local scholarships. The AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research.
World Polio Day is October 24
World Polio Day, established by Rotary International, commemorates the birth of Jonas Salk, who led the first team to develop a vaccine against poliomyelitis.
Rotary’s strategy to eradicate polio is based on preventing infection by immunizing every child until transmission stops and the world is polio-free.
Rotary members have played a key role in bringing the world to the brink of polio eradication. Their efforts have not only ended polio in 122 countries but also created a system for tackling myriad other health priorities, such as Ebola. Since our program started in 1995, the world has seen a 99.9 percent reduction in polio cases.

River Falls Rotary turns 20 in 2019! The Gala is a chance to both celebrate our successes and showcase to others how Rotary is making a difference in our community.
